Rocky Books’ New Logo Is Here!
Say hello to our brand new logo!
We want to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors who made this possible. Thank you for coming along on our journey, and supporting us every step of the way.
This is our first officially designed logo! This logo represents what we stand for. Always centering children in our work, our narratives, and trauma resilience practices.
This logo was designed by the wonderful Arpita Sawant. Arpita has been with Rocky Books Co since Day 1, and she was the very first illustrator that Sheena Vassiliades and I worked with when we had absolutely no experience working with illustrators!
As Arpita knows us and our brand so well she was the perfect choice to design our logo. The logo also contains a few elements that remain essential to us as a brand and team. The colours used are the same colour palette Arpita used in our very first Rocky Book "Rahul and the Pandemic". We chose these soft calming yellows and teals that align with our trauma informed illustration practices.
The child on the logo is also modelled after "Rahul", our very first child character. This is a little boy who experiences mental distress at home, and then learns a coping mechanism to ground himself. This narrative encapsulates everything we work for at Rocky Books Co.
We hope you love it! Tell us what you think!
